Clayesmore School Golf Course, Enfield. (1890s)

The nine-hole course was instituted in 1897.

It was reported in June 1897 that Gourlay Dunn, of Princes Club, Mitcham, and Bournemouth, has lately laid out a nine-hole course on the Clayesmore School estate, Enfield.

From the 1898 Golfer's Guide (Tom Dunn involvement); Clayesmore School Golf Club, Enfield; Instituted May 1897; Nine-hole course over undulating ground, one and a quarter miles round. A good sporting course with a lake and other sporting hazards. Tom Dunn of Bournemouth is responsible for the laying out of the links; President - Alex. Devine, The Master's House, Clayesmore, Enfield; Hon. secretary - N McVean, M.A., Clayesmore School, Enfield, Middlesex; Membership, 38; Entrance fee, 10s/6d, subs, 10/6d.
