Dahmshöhe Private Golf Course. (1930 - 1935)

In 1929 Siegfried Bieber (1873-1960), a member of the Golf- und Land-Club Berlin Wannsee, bought an estate of 220 ha called Dahmshöhe near Altthymen, Templin, approximately 90km north of Berlin. A mansion was built there and Percy Alliss, then professional at Golf- und Land-Club Berlin-Wannsee, was asked by Bieber to layout a 6-hole private golf course and supervise its construction.

The Bieber family emigrated from Germany to Switzerland (and later into the US via Ecuador) in early 1935 and it is believed that the course fell in disuse then, even though the Bieber family only sold the property, forcibly, in 1939.

The pictures below are from East German Times, when the mansion was used as a children sanitorium.
