An 18-hole undulating course situated on a private estate some 300 feet above sea level, with splendid views of the surrounding countryside, extending to the sea.

Bullwood Golf Club v Southend Golf Club - A club match took place on Saturday 9 June 1894 on the Bullwood course and resulted in a victory for the visitors by 10 holes. The match between R P Newham (BGC) and Captain Nicholls (SGC) was a very interesting one, both being equal in strokes and holes at the seventeenth, Captain Nicholls taking the last hole, making his score 96 as compared to Mr Newham's 98.
