Originally a nine-hole course. Listed as an 18-hole course in the late 1890s.
Short lived (about three years) Hawtree designed parkland course.
In May 1995 Hank Needham claimed the first hole-in-one in a club competition. He holed out on the 195 yard seventh helping Needham and his partner Wilson Jones to victory in the Mexican Pairs stableford.
Result of the Cripps Memorial Trophy Texas Scramble played in October 1995; E Underwood, J Lovett, R and B Griffith, 34.
