Owmby Golf Club, Market Rasen. (1995 - 2012)

The club was founded in 1995.

It was a nine-hole course designed by Bud Edmonson. Yardages as follows; White, 6,294 yards, Par 70, SSS 71; Yellow, 5,864 yards, Par 70, SSS 69; Red, 5,039 yards, Par 72, SSS 69.  The professional was Matthew Boyes and the green-keeper Andrew Birkitt.

The demanding course received good reviews “The eighth-hole off the white tees is over 200 yards with a pond in front of the green, a good signature hole. It's a course that you have to manage your way around. If you do not play this gem of a course you are missing out.”

The Owmby course,

“A very good 9 hole golf course tucked away on the back roads of the A631 near Greatham. This golf course is well worth a visit although only 9-holes it is a considerable length with its 2 x par 3s 1 x par 5 and small greens that you should not miss at your peril. We were allowed to play 9 off yellow and 9 off white. (now that's different gravy) 8th hole off white 200+ with a pond in front of the green, a good signature hole. It's a course that you have to manage your way around. The welcoming professional was (Matthew), beautiful clubhouse, driving range, practice putting area and a well stocked Professional shop. If you do not play this gem of a course you’re missing out.”

The club closed in 2012.
