Reedswood Power Station Golf Course, Walsall. (WW2 - 2007)
The early course was laid out following WW2 around the now demolished Reedswood Power Station, Birchills, and was probably for the use of employees at the power station.
A relatively short course there is evidence that it could have had eighteen-holes during the 1950s.
Following the demolition of the power station in 1987 a nine-hole municipal course was laid out by Walsall Corporation. This course closed in 2007 and has reverted to nature.
Above are tee markers from the later course. These could still be seen in 2015. Pictures provided by a former local resident Mr Brian Lawrence.
