The following message appeared on the Stressholme club website in 2013.

From 1st July 2013 Blackwell Grange Golf Club will relocate to the Stressholme site. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Members, Casual Golfers and everyone who has supported Stressholme Golf Club over the last 35 years.  We have strived to provide the best possible playing conditions for our customers and feel that we leave the course in excellent condition.  We extend our very best wishes to everyone associated with the relocated Blackwell Grange Golf Club and are confident that the course and clubhouse will continue to develop in the near future.

A fairly unique situation, but the Stressholme course lives on, albeit with a different name. Many of the Stressholme members joined the re-located BGGC.

For information on the defunct Blackford course see the Blackwood Grange Golf Club entry.
