Dore Golf Club, Ryecroft Farm Course, Sheffield. (1895 -1897)

Dore Golf Club had a nine-hole course on Ryecroft Farm which was only in existence for a short time.

The Ryecroft Farm nine-holes varied in length from 158 yards to 365 yards with a par of 34, the shortest hole being 158 yards and the longest 365 yards. The annual subscription in the first year was one guinea.

A new owner took over the farm and decided to return the golf course to farm land.

It became Abbeydale Golf Club in 1897 with a new course at Beauchief where the club is still located.
