Pontefract Park Golf Club, Park Road. (1973 – 2017)
Founded in 1973.
In the 1982 to 1991 Golfer’s Handbook it was listed as an 18-hole course measuring 4,068 yards, SSS 62. Visitors’ fees 60p, (75p at weekend). In 1991 fees were £2.90p (£4.10p).
In 1998 it was listed as a nine-hole course measuring 4.0068 yards with a SSS of 62; visitors, £2.80p.
It continued to appear in the Golfer’s Handbook during the 2000s.

The course closed in 2017 due to budget cuts.
In early 2020 a proposal was put forward to transform the former golf course into an adventure trail and playground.
