Mollington Grange Golf Club, Parkgate Road, Chester. (1994 – 2016)
The first mention of the Mollington Grange Golf was in September 1994. From the Chester Chronicle Friday 11 November 1994; "A portable welder worth £3,200 was taken from Mollington Grange Golf Club, which is under renovation, on Monday."

An 18-hole championship course laid out over 174 acres with many water hazards of ditches, lakes and ponds and three holes running parallel to the Shropshire Canal.
The Mollington Grange club was listed in the R&A Golfer’s Handbook through the 2000s.
The following is from the 2009 Golfer’s Handbook; Founded in 1999; membership of 500; secretary, Ray Stringer; professional, Alan Gibson; 18-holes, 6,696 yards, Par and SSS 72; designed by Garry Chubb; visitors, £30 (£35); driving range, putting green and chipping area.
The Mollington Grange club went into receivership for the second time in April 2011.
In 2012 the course was revived under new ownership and was renamed The Oaks Golf Club. Alan Beattie who had previously worked at Gleneagles was appointed director of golf.
Review of the course from July 2015 – “I am very familiar with this hidden gem of a course, however after playing today, I felt compelled to place a review.
This course is simply one of the finest in the North West, and the improvements made, especially to the greens, are a joy to behold.
The course is exceptionally great value for money and everyone connected with this club, especially the green staff, should feel very proud indeed. Well done from a group of very satisfied golfers.”
It was reported in 2016 that The Oaks Golf Club in Mollington would be closing its doors on 31 May 2016 – three years after being rescued from receivers.
A letter sent to members from general manager Brian Dique stated that all pre-booked functions and golf events would be ‘honoured in full’ up until the end of May. Members were to be reimbursed for any unexpired portion of their annual membership which fell between the club’s final operating date and their rolling renewal date.
