From the Fleetwood Chronicle Tuesday 22 August 1911 - "The Preston Cycling Club's country quarters at Broad Fall Farm, Scorton, have been totally destroyed by a fire which broke out through a spark from a chimney falling on the thatched roof. The members of the club, who where playing golf on the adjoining links, endeavoured with the assistance of neighbours to extinguish the flames with buckets of water, but the building was gutted."

In 1912 the club moved to Inglewhite Lodge.

From the Preston Herald Saturday 7 June 1913; “LONGRIDGE GOLF CLUB – At a recent meeting a discussion was held concerning the question of removing the links from the low-lying land at Alston to the higher end near Jeffrey Hill. It was decided that it was preferable to take the links nearer the hills. The opinion was expressed that by so doing they would attract more visitors to the district, as the site of the proposed links commanded one of the finest views in Lancashire.”

From the Preston Herald Saturday 9 August 1913; “LONGRIDGE GOLF CLUB – The new links which have been laid by the Longridge Golf Club are now approaching completion, and play has been commenced over the full course.”

Just after WW1 it moved to its present location at Fell Barn, Longridge.
