St Austell Golf Club, Rocky Park Course. (1911 - 1913)

The St Austell Golf Club was established in 1911 when a small group of enthusiasts laid out a small course on land at Rocky Park to the west of the town.

The club moved to its current location in 1913.

Interesting to note that a Mid Cornwall Golf Club appeared in the 1920s, it was listed in the 1928 Golfer's Handbook as follows; St Austell (Cornwall); Mid Cornwall Golf Club; Membership, 180; Hon. Sec., Capt. J B King; Professional, E Furze; 18-holes.
