The report below shows evidence of an 18-hole golf course laid out by Tom Dunn in July 1891.

It seems that there was a course at the Ranche , a wooden summer house in the 4000 acre woodland north of the house, made for Mrs Mabel Morrison.

There was a mention of an additional nine-hole course being laid out by Tom Dunn in Golf  on 1 May 1896. It was also listed in Golf Illustrated in April 1902.
