Banagher Golf Club, County Offaly King’s County. (1894 - 1910)

The club was founded in 1894.

In March 1895 Mr Dixie W Wood of Banagher Golf Club won the Gold Medal Competition played at the Ormond and King’s County Golf Club course at Baronne Court with a score of 90-10-80.

The club appears in the Golfing Annual 1895/6.

From the Golfing Annual 1898/99; Hon. secretary The Very Reverend J J Sherrard, The Rectory, Banagher, King’s County; Annual subscriptions ten shillings; The season is from October to May. This information continues in the Annual until 1910.

The Irish Golf Guide 1910 states that the club is “Believed to be extinct.”
