Curra West Golf Club, Co. Galway. (1996 - 2017)
Founded in 1996 with a nine-hole course. It was extended to 18-holes in 2003.
The club and course closed in 2017.

Irish Independent Monday 21 October 2002 – “The newest course in Galway, Curra West has jumped right into competitive inter-club fare by winning the County Galway Trophy. The competition inaugurated in 1927, the same year as the Ryder Cup, is one of the longest running events in the country. Curra West, privately owned by local farmer and publican Larry McCormack, held its official opening last May with Christy O’Connor, jun. doing the honours. It was the host venue for the County Galway Trophy. The home team emerged triumphant in the competition’s format, which is a team of 10 with the best seven net scores to count. Curra West, helped by a 62 by James Porter and Kevin Cooney’s 64, ended up with an average score 67 net, per player.”
