Musselburgh News Friday 10 March 1899 – “The Bonnyrigg Golf Course scheme may now be said to be dead and buried. It was manifestly absurd to secure a report on the suitability of certain lands for the purpose, and publishing report and plan before waiting on the landlord.

The new Bonnyrigg Golf Course at Broomieknowe appeared in 1905.

The Ordnance Survey Map below shows Miredale. The course was laid out to the south between the station and the school. The first tee and ninth green were near the station; the sixth green and seventh tee were close to the school.
