Madrid Golf Club (Golf de Madrid.) (1901 – 1914)

The first course in Madrid was the site of the Madrid Polo Golf Club. The original course was laid out in 1901 inside the Hippodrome of Madrid.

The club eventually moved in 1907-08 to an adjacent plot when 18-holes were laid out by J H Taylor (report below.) This course was the site of the inaugural Spanish Open in 1912, won by Arnaud Massy.
