First appeared in 1936 when the secretary was J Mendus, Main Street, Pembroke.

From the Western Mail Tuesday 22 December 1936 - "W H Hill, until recently professional to the Garngoch Golf Club, near Swansea, has secured the appointment of professional to the newly-formed club at Pembroke and has already taken up his duties."

It was reported in February 1939 that the Pembroke professional Frank Hill, would be moving to take up a similar position at Newport Golf Club.
In the final of the 36-hole club championship in July 1939 Stanley Evans beat J D Thomas, the holder, by 4 and 2.

During the 1950s the secretary was W H D Griffiths, 9 Main Street, Pembroke, telephone 15, the greenkeeper was W Futter. A 9-hole course with a SSS of 68. Visitors’ fees were 3/- a day and Sunday play was allowed. The station at Pembroke was 2 miles away.
