Shirenewton Golf & Country Club, Shirenewton, Chepstow. (1995 - 2005)
Founded in 1995.
An 18-hole undulating parkland course with fine views of the Severn Estuary, particularly on the front nine. The course was designed by Tony Davies and M Weeks.
In 1998 the course measured 6,658 yards with a SSS of 72. The professional was Mark Kedward. There was a practice range and the club had full catering facilities. Green fees’ were £10.
In 2004 the course measured 6,607 yards, the professional was Tim Morgan.
The course closed in 2005. The land will probably be given over for a housing development, although it is proposed that a portion of the land will be used as a conservation area.
